Features

  • This Art Deco home was designed by renowned architect, Leonard Bindon. It was built in 1938, and he lived in it briefly after it was completed. Other homes he designed in the Edgemoor neighborhood include: 312 Briar Road (1937), 290 Briar Road (1941) and 245 Middlefield Road (1938). Soon after, Bindon was offered a job with a Seattle architecture firm which became Bindon and Wright. Bindon and Wright designed Seattle's downtown central library which was dedicated in 1960. It was one of Seattle's first and finest examples of the International Style. The building was closed for demolition in June of 2001.
